| | Branded ones are a class apart................... | | I dont know why Indian lower Middle class people are so hypocritic and negative thinking people. I was also from the same background but I will appreciate the quality of Van Heusens and Louis Philippe, Levis and other international brands. But some of the old timers, say that branded ones are just the makovers of the cheap clothes and they gave examples to some of the cloth mills of the big brands like Peter England and other ones which are located in Bangalore and other major cities. But when I showed them my Allen Solly brand shirt which costed me a bomb, they had to keep their mouths shut. I was very happy by seeing their crooked faces when I just showed them the truth. But even then, lot of people who cannot afford these branded ones criticize this brands without knowing the facts. After observing lot of other country people, I was wondering why Indian people are like this. | |
| | ODI losing its sheen... | | Recently started Champions trophy confirmed that ODI will only stand a change against T20 format if the matches are spiced up and the excitement does not die at any moment. Problem with ODI format is that middle overs are a slag and anybody who is athletic can doze off and so time consuming that I stopped watching the full match. I will only keep a track of scores and watch highlights as many indians do. If the matches are between a top team and a weak team, then Cricket can be called as the most pathetic competitive sport and boring game as evident from previous matches. Surprises are there but they are too few. Unlike football which is a fast paced and quite athletic, Cricket is all about big bellys and lazy old timers. Its time to change this perception by introducing athletic spirit and content like T20 format and lot of faster bowlers should crop up instead of pathetic spinners. | |

| Water Problem | | I'm a little late getting this discussion started. Some of youall know about the water problem that I had a week ago this past Monday and Tuesday. I also told several of youall that the plumber came late Tuesday afternoon and he had to bypass the timer in order for me to have water. He didn't work on timers, himself. I had to get another plumber out here to replace the valve that lightning struck on the timer last Friday. I just thought some of youall might be wondering if I ever got it all straightened out. Well, I did and everything is back to normal now, I'm happy to say. You never realize how much you take things like this for granted until you have to do without them. I heard others say no one pays attention to the ads in the toolbar. I think anyone who is doing ptc, they read the ads, there is nothing else to do while waiting for the timers.
