myLot Discussions
Why are you here?
I turned down a friend request today. Why?Because when I went to see "who" he was (and I'm just guessing it was a he) what he had as his "saying": "Make money"He started a discussion that was just a website - and that was taken down because he OBVIOUSLY didn't read the TOS.He also went to my profile to request my friendship and IGNORED my saying that is: "I don't accept people with lots of banners for making money on line. Don't PM with that stuff!" I guess I need to add - "Don't even BOTHER asking my friendship - I'll turn you down."Now, I have had a few people join under me, one is still here, one is now playing poker on facebook and one died.I was actually over at the one who is still here and while I told her to only pick a FEW interests and get responding and posting - did she listen to me? NOOOOOooooo. After she had been here a few months she's like - why am I getting all this stuff about - ____________ (fill in the blank.)Because you listed it as an interest, I told her. I told you to NOT do that - that you can always ADD interests - but you KNEW better.I also have other "old timers" like myself who TRY to help the newbies when they get...
What is the first dance you have learned?...
When you say "first"...possibly when you were a child that is...We always have our "firsts" in our lives...we had our first word that we have spoken...we had our first walk...and we you say walk and you do it into a graceful manner putting a music in it...that comes into a dance...tell me, what is the first dance that you have learned?...my first dance that i have learned is the waltz... of course... during my kindergarten years...all of us are first timers...so the teacher taught us to do the waltz...it's simply the basic dance step for you and your partner will just sway and move your feet left and right holding with your hands holding together...which reminds me of my first crush...hahahanever mind her...she already had a family of her own...;)
Have You Been to Baguio Lately?
The Summer Heat in the Philippines is on! Temperature rises as the scorching heat of the sun touches your skin. You start to sweat as if you were showering on your own. People would have the idea of going out on the beach and have the fun of their lives. But some people would just want to fight that heat by going on a cool place, rather than putting your head inside your Refrigerator nor raising your hands up high to touch the vents of your air conditioning units. One thing that comes into people's minds is to have an out of town with their friends or families (even loved ones), and one of the most famous tourist destination would be Baguio City.Nestled within the Cordillera Central mountain range in northern Luzon, Baguio is known as "The Summer Capital of the Philippines." It is a one-stop tourist spot destination for every tourists. Going from Manila to Baguio would take 6 to 12 hours travel time via land, depending on the season. A day is not enough to travel the whole city proper. Tourists would prefer to have a reservation on a hotel, inns or transient houses to enjoy their stay for a week or two. Peak season starts at March, in celebration of their flower...
Unfair change in benefits: as in, we get NONE now.
After a shocking change in policy at the dry cleaners where I spend 30 hours of my life every week.. I found out this week that starting this upcoming Monday, us part-timers will no longer get the ONE benefit that we were allotted before: 2 free pieces of dry cleaning per day that we work. Now we get absolutely NOTHING except a measly 20% off discount off dry cleaning prices (which, ironically enough, are about 30% MORE expensive than our competitors). So along with no one getting any raises in 2009 and 2010 (because of the "economy"), we will also not be able to get ANY of our dry cleaning done - even the dress pants and shirts we have to wear to WORK! Probably the worst part of this whole deal was the stupid letter they put with our paychecks and W2's. They mention that, in order to not cut back "other benefits", they have to cut this one. But excuse me? As a part-timer who works 30 hours a week - Monday through Saturday - I get NO benefits. NO 401K, NO vacation, NO holiday pay - NOTHING! I have no reason to work at this place. I am beyond angry right now! I was seriously thinking of up-and-quitting. While I love the store I work at, and my store manager - I absolutely HATE...
Home Depot going downhill?
This is what I heard from a friend of mine.I work for Home Depot and I agree. They're getting rid of qualified employees and keeping part timers who don't care about the company or customers. They're trying to make all of the stores look the same, even thoigh stores in the same market cater to different types of customer. Have any of the Mylotters noticed this?
Who is the best fielder?
No body can challenge the one and only JONTY RHODES...He revolutionised the fielding aspect of Cricket which was overseen and ignored till then. He made it athletic and gave it a glamour look, thus born the department of fielding. He used to make me wonder and awe in astonishment that how much he has done for the Cricket which otherwise a lazy game played by old timers. Then comes the secondary list which I cannot remember that much as they are nothing when compared to JHONTY RHODES. I will simply ignore anybody saying that some Tom, Diick and Harry is better than JHONTY RHODES. That is the power of him.
Do you remember when you first tried to use a mouse with the computer? I Do.
I have seen lots of first timers trying to navigate with the mouse on their first introduction including myself. I was taught how to play solitaire using the mouse and I guess it was because you had to right click and hold in order to move the cards on the screen. Trying to get the pointer on the screen to move where you want it to go was a challenge. Like everything else in life, once you try something for the first time its hard but persistence prevails. What was your experience like using a mouse for the first time?
Sites that pay and are not scams
I posted this one time before and it got reported, and I don't know why, because I am NOT NOT NOT asking for referrals AT ALL. You do not have to pm me to join any of these sites. I am posting this because so many people post asking for ideas on which sites to join, and I thought many people might be looking for such information. Therefore, I am going to post those sites that have paid me and that I can personally vouch for. This is merely to help people. So if you want to report me, you get a life!PTC SitesMost of these have not paid me or I have lost patience with. I have been paid by JillsClickCorner. This is a frustrating site because the rates are low, and there has recently been a problem with attacks on your computer. Nothing the standard virus protection software can't handle, but be aware. They will pay you though. Payout one dollar, without referrals its takes about two months to earn.QuickRewards.net This is a great and little known site. No timers on adds, it is like Trekpay but has been around for far longer. You can easily earn about ten cents or more every day in about two minutes of clicking. They paid me multiple times, always pay within a few hours,...
What factors do you consider before resolving your discussions?
It just occured to me that, i've started some discussions but not resolved them. After going through, i discovered that some were quite easy to resolve, a few were hard as 2-3 people gave very nice comments. But what could i do? Do you get biased while resolving your discussion? Or do you just give it to your friend and to the old timers, do you screen out those with lower posts and give only those with much posts?
PTC SITES - I think the most successful sites that have been in business for
years are those sites running REAL ADS. I have noticed new ptc sites all they run is other ptc sites. Unless they have reserved cash, you cant make any money this way. Well I am not joining any more ptc sites. Instead I am going to stick with the old timers. Adpaid, Inboxdollars, Clixsense. These sites have all kinds of professional looking ads. Dont believe me? Start realling looking at all the ads you see on the other ptc sites.[em]wub[/em]
