there are three nice parks that i suggest to visit in shanghai. there are SHANGHAI GONGQING FOREST PARK, SHANGHAI CENTURY PARK and SHANGHAI SCULPTURE PARK. they also are the big parks of shanghai. Shanghai Qongqing Forest Park is the oldest park of them all. it was built as a tree nursery in 1956 and opened to public in 1986. occupying a total space of 131 hectares,i think it is the unique park in the city proper that has forest scenery.

Shanghai Century Park is a young park of shanghai, it was built in 2000. it located in the administrative and cultural center of Pudong New Area. the land area of this park is 140.3 hectares.

Shanghai Sculpture Park is a special art park which exhibits more than 30 modern sculptures. they are made by sculptors who come from about 12 countries. the park has a nice view since it is surrounded by some hills with a big lake(Moon like) in the middle. the area is 86 hectares. it has been built only for 2 years.
