| | Are you into nature? | | I am very much into nature. I used to love to take long walks, when I have things on my mind.I could get a new perspective on things once I did this.nature has a way of clearing your mind and changing your outlook on things. But because of ny health problems, I can no longer walk, boy, do I miss it.I miss all the trees, animals and tings I saw along the way. I do have a pool in my back yard, I love to go out and swim, lay on my raft, and just enjoy the secenery. I have 2 large trees, one on each side of the pool. I can look up and see the limbs how they twist and turn about, and see the reflection of the watr on the leaves. I watch the birds flying in and out of trees, and listen to them chirp and sing. I watch the squrialls playing around. It is a real calming, peaceful feeling. Are you into nature? | |

| | Oh Christmas Tree... You've lost some weight! | | When we got our new house, it was smaller so to save space I got a wrap around sofa. The trouble with this is that you cannot move a wrap around sofa! At my mom's we used to move the furniture so we could fit the Christmas Tree every year. I was dead set on having a tree this year though, even though I didn't think I'd find one that fit.
Well here it is (see picture)! I found many 30" wide trees that were still nice and tall and full. This one is prelit. I actually like the slim look and think this tree totally fits our personality. There is enough room for all of our ornaments and lots of empty spots for when we get more in the future. I'm surprised how much I like my tree since I always enjoyed the large trees my family members have.
I've also seen Christmas trees that were complete Blue, White and Pink. I haven't quite changed my opinion that much, I still have to have green. What about you? Do you like skinny trees or fat trees? Short or tall? Do you get a wild colored one? Share pics if you got them! | |
| | rain cats and dogs | | It rained cats and dogs the day before yesterday. What a horrible night it was! Some large trees were pulled up.It was said a kid was pressed down to death by the broken house on the newspaper. And I got a shock.I felt very sad at that time.Sometime I discover that person is very tiny and unhelpful as facing the nature...Take care of ourselves and families carefully.OK? | |
| | Trees and The Role They Play In Life on Earth | | In the light of the beautiful weather we've been experiencing over the past week, in England, and my inability to get out, I have been looking out of my window and contemplating the importance of trees in our lives. What thoughts do you have on trees? Here are mine, for you to ponder....So often, the constant presence of trees and the important role they play in our lives and survival, are taken for granted by us mere mortals. Since time immemorial, trees have been a vital nurturing force in our evolution, benefiting our environment, providing us with medicines, and inspiring myths and legends from times long ago. Their serenity and beauty provides seasonal character to the landscape and peaceful refuge from the demands of daily living, in providing us with a wall of shelter from the sweeping snow and winds of winter, woodland areas, in which we can quietly walk in Spring, a shaded spot in which to sit and watch the World go by, in the height of Summer, and a beautiful splash of natural, warm colours in Autumn. In fact, they depict the ever-turning, Wheel of Life. Not only is their cycle and beauty of import to us, but their necessity and role in our environment. Trees... | |
| | Why dont more people worship Mother Earth? | | For those who know me I am Wiccan and I worship and follow a Goddess who I also consider to be Mother Earth. I did however grow up Christian as a child. So I do know that the bible states that God created man from the very earth we now walk on. With that said dosnt that make the earth our Mother?I say it does. Think about it. A mother provides everything her child NEEDS to survive. Well the earth provides shelter by growing large trees and rocks that form in to caves to shelter us. The earth grows delicious fruits and vegitables for us to eat. I know we do have Earth day once a year but dont you think Earth day should be every day considering without it we wouldent exist at all.I believe that we whould worship the very thing that provides for us our necessities on a daily basis. What do you think? | |
| | | Tree Roots - How to Handle | | I have three large trees in my backyard and I love them because they hold up my laundry line. The thing I don't enjoy is that there are many roots exposed. How does this get solved? Do I bring in a layer of topsoil and re-sod? I'm really tired of tripping over tree roots. | |
