I am looking for one that is 'real value for money' - in the sense that it is should be small enough to fit into the shirt pocket, take great pictures, not costly, easy to operate and have all functions most small cameras have & also not harsh on the batteries.I was gifted an Olympus camera a couple of years back- good camera but within a year had to get it repaired and another thing that it drains out the batteries very fast, so if any of you have a suggestion please let me know. | |
| | Black and White Photography & Photoshop Use | | I use a compact digital camera when shooting these days, but I prefer using an old school SLR with a tripod and good professional film. I was very pleased with it when I took it and it remains one of my finest photos taken digitally. I am strongly against altering an image with photoshop unless it is warranted (for example in the case of restoring antique images). I am interested in what you think of this image and also what you think about using photo programs such as photoshop. Indeed there is an art to photoshop, but is it as unigue and therefore as worty of merit as an original photograph? | |

does anyone know of any filters that are available for compact digital cameras, I have a fuji finepix and I would like to be able to filter out bright sunlight and reduce glare, I know it can be done after processing on your computer but a simple filter as on my SLR would be ideal and so much easier.All the best,
