| | Plastic animals, birds | | My youngest granddaughter is 18 months young.[em]lol[/em]I want her to get acquainted with the animals, pets, birds, and insects. In my city we don’t have zoo, sea is 500 kilometer away, no jungle nearby, and big trees were cut too. Only things she can see are cow, dogs, goats, bulls, cats, some pet parrots, crows and pigeon’s cockroaches, mosquitoes, ants and house lizards on the walls.[em]surrender[/em]
Last evening I bought some plastic animals and birds like tiger, lion, elephant, bear, fox, lamb, peacock, sparrow, they were sets of 10 in a packet. I also bought audio CD that has sound of birds and animals recorded in it. My next step will be to get vegetables and fruits made of plastic. I am sure this will help.[em]thumbup[/em]
What is your view, how did you make your kids, grandkids acquainted with birds, animals, their sounds and fruits?

| | Cut all those big three for money | | I was so upset and sad because of they are cutting all those big trees that give shed to the main road over here in our town. I was so upset that the road is already wide and they widen it. They do need to cut all those tree. Why do they allow this for sure they want to put money on their pocket again. They have don't know of what project they will make so they think of widening a road that is already wide . Greedy politicians they make some projects that they don't knowing they will damage so many trees which grow so old and tall and gives shed to the road. Oh human are getting greed they just want money but don't love nature naymore | |

If there is a chance for you to choose again, you will choose which one to study in?

| | Have you ever been in a hammock? | | When I was a child, we used to have an old string hammock. The sort that you hang from 2 big trees. It was great. I used to line it with cushions, and lie in it in the summertime, sometimes reading, sometimes sleeping. When I remember it, it is something like a wonderful dream - lying in dappled sunlight. Unfortunately, one string snapped after another, probably due to me inviting my friends into it! Have you ever been in a hammock? | |

| | The Desilting of Bhopal's Lake. | | The Bhopal lake is being desilted these days after the water levels have dropped precariously, the lake is empty by about 70% still it has water to cater to 3 months drinking water supply to about 6 lacs population.
The operation has invoked enthusiastic response of population & voluntary is key word these days, the operation and the response both are definitely praiseworthy and deserve all kudos.
This year the Madhya Pradesh got 30% less rains and already the drought like situation is threatening the normal life. This is peculiar phenomenon everywhere whether developed or undeveloped countries.
The rainfall situation is dependent upon the vaporisation during the hot seasons creation of low pressure zones in the atmosphere. But dense forests or the monsoon forests play a vital role in conservation of ground water and maintenance of water tables.
While the indiscreet deforestation due, to fast habitation to accommodate exploding population, has left most of the Indian forests in pathetic conditions. The MP which once boasted of about 63% of rain forests now has only about 37% reserved forest area left. The cities earlier boasted of big trees & greenery are now display the...
| | How many Christmas trees do you put up? | | I have noticed the last few years that people around here are putting up two or three Christmas trees in their house.
My neighbor has two, a small one for the dining table and a big one in the living room.
There is this big house down the road that has atleast three big trees. I have never been in there but you can see them all lit up from the road. So they may have another one or two that can't be seen from the road.
My house only has one tree.
Do you have one tree or do you like having more?
